Meet Jillian

Hi! I’m a writer, editor, and content strategist. I host the Cruel Summer Book Club podcast — where I have conversations with artists and authors about change — and write an eponymous newsletter exploring change and living well.

In former media roles I was the Deputy Editorial Director of North America at Culture Trip and Editor of Time Out New York. Now, I work as an editor at Mashable and write for Cosmopolitan, Contently, Tribeza magazine, and many other publications. I also work as a copywriter, project manager, brand consultant, content marketer, and much more. Whatever highly skilled editorial need you may have, I’ve got you.

I recently hosted a panel at SXSW 2023 with guest speaker Captain Sandy from Bravo’s Below Deck, and I’ve appeared on many podcasts and radio and television shows. My work has been published in Marie Claire, New York Magazine’s Vulture, Condé Nast Traveler, Los Angeles magazine, and many other publications.

A career highlight was interviewing the Fab Five of Queer Eye for my first Time Out New York cover story. I’ve also interviewed Ashley C. Ford, Roxane Gay, Jay and Mark Duplass, Joan Rivers, and many other cultural icons.
